  Tarbena is renowned for unique miniature furniture, from the accurate scaling down of the original to the specialised finish, giving age, character and charm to each piece. True appreciation can only be achieved by close examination. Several processes are used to create the ageing effect, aiming to imitate the original antique as closely as possible, but also giving each piece its own individuality and character.

 

  We make furniture from most periods and welcome commissions. Many of our pieces can be seen in museums and collections throughout the world. We use various woods with the appropriate grain for each piece. Some are delicately hand painted too, and we have a large range of lacquered furniture with chinoiserie decoration.

 

  We do keep some furniture in stock but in general, they are made to order, so please enquire before ordering.
